Congratulations! Conor is a great name, and he'll be a great son!!! If you have any questions on breastfeeding, La Leche League is a lifesaver (it was for me!) I nursed my babies and now I am bottle feeding my grandbabies, but nursing is sooooo much better! My daughters-in-law nursed for awhile, but gave it up. I felt bad for them because it gives the mother a high, and there is nothing sweeter than the sigh of contentment that a nursing baby gives. But there's no guilt attached--babies' mothers know best. Remember that--you are now the expert!
As Conor gets older, he'll even pat your breast in affection. Once I nursed a friend's baby (I was babysitting) and that baby reacted the same way, even though he was of another race. There's something universally beautiful about nursing. Welcome to motherhood!
Keep up the good work and keep the...Faith Beall (a co-worker of Liz).
P.S. I'm still very close with my sons (in their thirties), and I think nursing can take some of the credit.
